No decision on SIT to probe cash-for-jobs scam, says DGP
The investigation has revealed that people have been cheated with the lure of govt jobs since 2014-15. As for the current probe, Kumar said it is being conducted in a free and fair manner and is completely open. “There is no interference at any level in the investigation and because of this, whenever any police station receives complaints, cases are registered,” he said. “People whose names have been revealed in the investigation have been arrested. I assure you that there is no unfair investigation.”Kumar said the investigation is not carried out based on presumptions and action is taken based on the facts revealed during the probe. Reacting to the circulation of some photos of the accused, purportedly seen with politicians, Kumar said that photos cannot be considered evidence to establish any link. But he reiterated that the investigation is being conducted fairly. He said some accused in the case have duped multiple victims and cases have been registered in both districts. “There are three groups of people who have cheated multiple victims, but the rest of the cases are standalone,” he added. When asked if one of the accused had taken the name of a minister, Kumar said, “As per the investigation, it has come to light that she took the name of a minister to persuade people to believe her, but no connectivity or link has been established.”The DGP said that the investigation has not revealed that the accused were able to provide govt jobs to the victims. The investigation revealed that most of the money was paid in cash and the accused spent the money to fund a lavish lifestyle.

what do you expect when BJP has been in power since 2014 ??? Corruption to the core in Goa and BJP must be voted out . They have also not stopped the taxi mafia in Goa despite 10 years of fleecing by the taxi Mafia . Ola and Uber must be allowed to expand in Goa and full protection must be given to these app based companies instead of promoting the Taxi Mafia and supporting the Land Mafia . Shame on BJP government in GoaRead allPost comment
