Mapusa: There is not much headway in the counterfeit currency notes case reported in Mapusa, where two men from Uttar Pradesh were arrested on Saturday, for allegedly circulating fake notes in the state.
According to Mapusa police sources, the main accused in the case, Khaludbusab Nadaf, 27, has been running a guesthouse in Calangute for the past 10 years.

Raju Khan, 28, the other accused is a roadside vendor in Calangute. Raju Khan was apprehended by the locals of Mapusa after he was allegedly found 'moving suspiciously' in the area.
He was handed over to the Mapusa police and 12 counterfeit notes of 1000 denomination were found after searching him, police said. It was Raju who named Khaludbusab Nadaf, who was detained by the police soon.
