Drivers and cleaners of the Kadamba transport corporation (KTC) protested at the Vasco depot on receiving a new circular which stated that their work schedule stands extended from two days to three days.

VASCO: Drivers and cleaners of the Kadamba transport corporation (KTC) protested at the Vasco depot on receiving a new circular which stated that their work schedule stands extended from two days to three days.
On Saturday morning, more than 100 drivers and cleaners at the KTC bus stand in Vasco were informed by area depot manager Chetan Prabhu that from Saturday they had to work for three days at a stretch before taking a day off.

No sooner the drivers and cleaners refused to board the buses, Prabhu informed the KTC brass of the situation. The agitation, which lasted for almost an hour, was called off after it was announced that the work schedule would not change and that the new circular has been kept in abeyance.
