MARGAO: Home Sweet Home - the latest Konkani film directed by
Swapnil Shetkar of Go Goa Gollywood Productions will be screened at all major cinema theatres and Ravindra Bhavans in Goa on Friday, December 26, disclosed the co-producer Madhav Gad. Remarking that ‘this movie has been inspired by true events happening in Goa and seeks to expose the biggest scams of Goa this Christmas,’ Gad divulged that this movie will be screened at Inox, Osia, Samrat, Ashok, Vishant, Hira Talkies, Shivam, Cine Kamla, Cine World, Nandi, besides the Ravindra Bhavan
auditorium.
While the movie tickets have been reasonably priced at 100 in the latter, the prevailing rates of movie tickets will apply at the other theatres as the exemption for entertainment tax sought from the government has not yet been received. Also, the financial subsidy for the film has not yet been processed by the authorities, he informed though he quickly expressed confidence of receiving it.
Noted tiatrist John D’Silva, who depicts a simpleton Goan in this film, also urged Goans to watch this movie on the cinema screens instead of seeking to view it on a VCD as is their usual trend and thus, promote Goan Konkani cinema.
Rajdeep Naik, who plays the role of a taxi driver in this film driving a Goan returning back to his motherland after spending many years abroad, also spoke. Rajdeep mentioned that the film’s promos had received a favourable response from college students. “They are the ones who frequent the cinema halls to watch movies,” he said.
Other actors in this movie are Aryan Khedekar Luis Bacchan, Sushant Naik, Satish Gawas and Prince Jacob. While the lyrics are penned by Sai Panandikar and Mohit Kakodkar is the cinematographer, Rohan Naik makes his music debut with his peppy tunes, Gad informed
