Mopa airport will benefit business: Minister of State S P Singh Baghel in Goa

Margao: Union minister of state for law and justice S P Singh Baghel on Saturday said that the Mopa airport, once operational, will benefit all sectors of business in the state, including the casinos.
Goa is the most popular tourist destination, there will be a rise in the number of tourists visiting the state leading to an increase in per capita income of the state, Baghel told reporters after visiting the Mopa airport.
“As Goa’s economy is dependent on tourism, business will flourish. From taxi drivers to hotels, and from paanwallahs to casinos, shopping centres and malls, all will benefit from Mopa airport,” he said.
MoS tourism Shripad Naik, who was also present, in reply to a query, said that 80% of the jobs at the Mopa airport will go to locals.
