Merger of Bicholim govt school opposed

Bicholim: The parents of students studying at the government high school in Mulgao, Bicholim, have opposed the merger of the school with a high school at Par, Mulgao. They have threatened to go on a strike till the merger order issued by the education department is not revoked. Sources said the school has 52 students for the current academic year. “The government is not ready to provide the necessary infrastructure to the school. How then does it expect to increase enrolment?” Rakesh Sawant, a parent, said.
