Mauvin backs Parrikar for Panaji bypoll

Panaji: Panchayat minister Mauvin Godinho on Sunday extended support to chief minister Manohar Parrikar for the upcoming Panaji byelections. “It is going to be a clean sweep for the Manohar Parrikar-led BJP in the upcoming elections. He will outdo all other candidates,” he said.
Sharing his thoughts on the drug menace in Goa, Godinho said, “We should come down heavily on this drug issue in Goa.Most of the scandalous events that took place in Goa were during the Congress regime.” On the casino issue he said, “Three years down the line, we will make sure casinos are out of River Mandovi. We’re working out a couple of solutions by taking all stakeholders into confidence.”
