‘Love jihad is war strategy to attract women’

Panaji: Union minister of state for law and justice S P Singh Baghel said love jihad is not a ‘jumla’ but a war strategy for people of one religion to attract women of another religion and marry them. “If two persons are in love then religion, caste and creed should not be barriers for their marriage. But where there is a strategy to convert, action should be taken,” Baghel said while replying to media queries during his visit to the high court of Bombay at Goa on Tuesday. He was asked to comment on the necessity of having an anti-conversion law in the country. tnn
