Konkani musical bags another award

Panaji: Nachom-ia Kumpasar (Let’s dance to the rhythm), the iconic Konkani film that pays tribute to several unsung Goan musicians of the 1960s and 1970s, has scooped up the award for the best feature film at the Cordoba International Film Festival, Colombia.

Panaji: Nachom-ia Kumpasar (Let’s dance to the rhythm), the iconic Konkani film that pays tribute to several unsung Goan musicians of the 1960s and 1970s, has scooped up the award for the best feature film at the Cordoba International Film Festival, Colombia.
The national, award-winning Konkani musical, starring Vijay Maurya, Palomi Ghosh, Meenacshi Martins and Prince Jacob, recently won the Grand Prix at the Vienna Independent Film Festival and bagged accolades in the best music film and best art direction categories.

The film, directed by Bardroy Barretto and produced by Agnelo Braganza, even made it to the initial shortlist of the 88th Academy Awards (Oscars) in December, 2015.
