'Inquiry into drivers' assault on'
PANAJI: Home minister Ravi Naik said that an inquiry has been initiated into the incident of an alleged assault of two truck drivers by 'some persons in khaki' at Mapusa market in the wee hours of the morning on Thursday.
Replying to Mapusa MLA Francis D'Souza during Zero Hour, Naik said that the assailants were not known and that they might have been security guards at the Mapusa market.

The names of the drivers are Khalid Mohammed and I Aslam Shaikh. Both were reportedly assaulted with lathis and later taken to GMC and released after treatment for simple injuries.
Naik said that the duo's truck was refused entry at the Mapusa market, as the security had been tightened following some incidents of thefts.
