PANAJI: Indian Coast Guard commander for Western seaboard additional director general KR Suresh on Wednesday inspected Coast Guard stations during a two-day visit recently.
The visit was part of the ongoing efforts to ensure that the Indian Coast Guard is prepared and capable of carrying out missions to protect the nation's maritime interests.
During the visit, Suresh held discussions with senior officers and reviewed the various operations and activities being carried out by the force at Goa. The discussions during briefing were centered around improving the operational readiness of the coast guard and enhancing its capabilities to respond to any emergencies and security threats in the area of responsibility.
The additional director general also took stock of the infrastructure being development by the Indian Coast Guard in Goa.
