: The nine-day 47th International Film Festival of India will close on Monday with a ceremony which will see South Indian filmmaker S S Rajamouli as its chief guest. Iffi director

said that the entertainment programme at the closing ceremony will feature Indian classical music.

It will take place at Bambolim, the same venue as the opening ceremony, at 4pm. The closing film will be

South Korea

’s ‘The Age of Shadows’, which will be screened at Kala Academy after the ceremony.

The closing ceremony will see announcement of the Golden

Peacock

winning film from the 15 selections under the international competition section. The winner will also receive 40 lakh as prize.

From international competition section, the other awards will be best director (carrying

Silver Peacock

and 15 lakh) and best actor (male) and best actor (female) (both carrying prize of Silver Peacock and 10 lakh).

The special jury award will also be presented to a film (carrying Silver Peacock and 15 lakh). It is given to a film (for any aspect of the film which the jury wishes to award/acknowledge) or an individual (for his/her artistic contribution to a film).

Another set of seven films are competing for Centenary Award for the Best Debut Film of a Director, which carries Silver Peacock and a cash prize of 10 lakh. In addition, the ICFT-UNESCO will present a Gandhi Peace Medal Prize.
