PANAJI: Peter-Roshan's tiatr
'Pilot' highlights the love of a mother towards her son and the ungratefulness of the son towards her. Rosy (Roshan
) is overwhelmed with her first child Beven
(David). But just when she is dreaming of bringing up her only son with much love and affection, there's another newborn entrusted into her care by a goon. As a mother, Rosy does not hesitate to shoulder the dual responsibility, but due to a poor financial background, she prefers to provide a good education to Beven instead of the adopted child, Vincent (Brian).
Over a period of time, Beven completes his studies successfully and becomes a pilot. But his step brother has to be content with the humble job of a motorcycle pilot.
Beven falls in love with Fiona (Craby), who belongs to a rich family. To avoid all humiliation and maintain his status in the society, Beven prefers to put up at his in-laws' house and supports them unconditionally. On the other hand, Vincent earns his daily living with his small business and supports his stepmother.
What happens when Beven and Fiona are blessed with a differently-abled child Elena (Avila)? Will she be accepted by the in-laws? How does Elena's grandmother treat her? What happens when Rosy comes along to serve as a maid in the house? Will Beven reveal the truth and give his mother due respect? What is the fate of Beven?
The saying 'Pride has a fall' has been well-highlighted in the drama. Each of the artistes have played their characters quite confidently. But special mention needs to be made about Roshan's role of a sacrificial lamb. The teenager Avila, as the autistic child, has played her role with much ease. Comedy sets by Brian, Benzer and Desmond, supported by Simonica and Sonali, leave the audience in splits. Songs by S Lemos (Koddok Upai), Avila (Bach ke rhena re), Peter/Roshan (Corruption Kabar), Avila/Anneli (Cheddum), Benzer/Brian/David (Bolatkar) have a message for the audience. Manuel Noronha (Manu) and his team have done a good job with the music.
