A roof tile house belonging to Gurudas Matondkar was gutted in a fire allegedly because of short circuit.

MAPUSA: A roof tile house belonging to Gurudas Matondkar was gutted in a fire allegedly because of short circuit. Sources informed that Gurudas stays in Mapusa for his work but he used to visit his home weekly for cleaning and maintenance purposes.
He came to home on Wednesday and after finishing the cleaning work was returning to Mapusa, when upon reaching Siolim he received a call from a neighbour that his house was on fire.

He immediately contacted Pernem police and the fire station who douses the flames. The loss in the incident is yet to be estimated. Further investigations are in progress.
