Helicopter ride from Mopa to Benaulim for Rs 6k from Feb 13
Panaji: Blade India will launch its helicopter service from Manohar International Airport to Taj Exotica, Benaulim from On February 13.
The service provider plans to provide personalised charter service to connect Dharwad and Hubballi, in neighbouring Karnataka.
The service will be in operation for six days a week. A traveller will be charged Rs 6,000 for the ride. The air mobility service will further expand its network in North Goa with Fort Aguada as the next location.
With Goa being a hub of domestic tourists, the service provider expects a better response for its service.
“We foresee a huge demand for the service as it will reduce the travel time significantly. People can land in North Goa and check in to their hotels in South Goa all within 20 minutes, a route which otherwise takes up to three hours,” Blade India managing director Amit Dutta said.
He said that their target is transition to electric aviation and also reduce friction in travel by enabling cost-effective air transportation alternatives at least to some of the most congested or inaccessible ground routes.
Blade India launched its service in Mumbai in 2019 and subsequently in Karnataka and now, Goa.
Recently, the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) tied up with a private agency to offer heli-rides for high spending tourists, and plans are afoot to start a service to reduce travel time to reach the two airports.
