Panaji: Reacting to his acquittal in the alleged
rape case, revenue minister Atanasio ‘Babush’ Monserrate on Wednesday said that he had full faith in the judiciary and, because of the case, he has suffered for the last 10 years.
Outside the North Goa district and sessions court at Merces, Monserrate said, “I have full faith in the judiciary of the country. I was acquitted of all the allegations made against me by the district court. It was a long wait. It was 10 years. I know how I suffered in the last 10 years.”

Monserrate thanked his family, friends and supporters who stood by him in his difficult time.
