PANAJI: The Goa Suraksha Manch (GSM) challenged chief minister
Manohar Parrikar to “try and shut down” the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) in Goa.
This challenge was made is in response to a statement earlier made by town and country planning (TCP) minister Vijay Sardesai wherein he condemned the statements made by a senior VHP functionary that the organisation would force a ban on beef consumption in Goa.
GSM president, Anand Shirodkar said, “We want to know Parrikar’s reaction on what Sardesai has stated; he must respond to us by tomorrow. We challenge Parrikar to try and shut down the VHP, if he can.”
