‘Govt priority is job creation for Goans’

Canacona: State govt is committed to creating substantial employment opportunities for Goans, thus aiming to eliminate unemployment within two years, said chief minister Pramod Sawant at the 24th edition of Lokotsav in Canacona.

Stating that any facility that seems to be missing in Canacona would be addressed on a priority soon, Sawant said, “Govt provides all facilities for every taluka and is marching towards PM’s vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047.”

He also said that Goa speaker and Canacona MLA, Ramesh Tawadkar, is taking the right steps for his constituency through innovative initiatives and execution of work.

Tawadkar said, “Initially, Lokotsav was organised without govt grants.” He added, “Through ‘shram dham’, we built motorable roads, cleaned temple areas and held educational camps. Now we are building houses for the underprivileged”.
