Margao: Eight hospitals have been empanelled for five years under the state government’s scheme to grant financial assistance for medical treatment of infertility among Scheduled Tribe couples with IVF (in vitro fertilisation) and IUI (intrauterine insemination).
“The new empanellment of hospitals/clinics/nursing homes shall be with immediate effect.
However, the government reserves the right to terminate any empanelled hospital at its discretion,” said the director and ex officio joint secretary, tribal welfare, Dashrath M Redkar.
The empanelled hospitals are Panaji’s Dr Kedar’s Maternity, Infertility & Surgical Hospital; Margao’s Gracias Maternity Hospital, and Sinai Clinic and Hospital; Ponda’s Kamat Nursing Home, and Platicare Hospital; Mapusa Clinic and Medical Centre; Vasco’s Pai Hospital; and Curchorem’s Dr Buvaji’s Hospital and IVF Centre.
