Guilherme Vaz
has recently been appointed consultor on the reconstituted and enlarged Vatican Pontifical Council for the Laity, Family and Life.
Vaz was a member of the Pontifical Council for the Laity, and has been a close collaborator of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI). He has been member of the
CBCI
finance committee and governing body of the CBCI Society for Medical Education.
He initially served as consultor to the Commission for Education and Culture, and was closely involved in formulating the Catholic education policy. He is also a member of the Board of Management of Christ University and honorary treasurer of the Indo-Global Social Service Society.
