The institute, Vinsan Academy of Film and Media, which will be set up in Fontainhas, will commence courses in July. “Goa inherently has a lot of potential for filmmaking. The idea behind the academy is to teach the art of filmmaking to people who’re eager to learn,” said academy coordinator, Arun Gupta.
Well know film personalities and qualified professionals who have worked in the film industry will be visiting faculty at the institute. Among others Nishtha Jain of ‘Gulabi Gang’ fame will teach film direction and promoter and distributor,

will be teaching screenplay writing.
The academy will offer a six-month certificate course in filmmaking this year, which will be extended to a full-fledged two-year course with specializations from July 2017.
