PANAJI: For
Priya Sharma, crocheting is something she does out of sheer interest. But, despite her entrepreneurial zeal, the platform to promote her craft was lacking.
Offering that much-needed boost to women like Sharma, is a handicrafts
exhibition
organized by the
Sampurna Foundation
at the
Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry
(GCCI) hall. The exhibition concludes on Thursday.
Other items on display include
home-made sweets
, beaded aakash kandil and other items used during Diwali.
Sharing her thoughts on the exhibition, Sampurna Foundation chairperson, Neeru Agnihotri, said, “The kind of items these women produce are not only beautiful but also much more affordable than those available in the retail market.”
