Dry days in Goa's rural areas on Dec 19, 20 & 22

Goa govt has directed all liquor shops in zilla panchayat constituencies to shut on Dec 19, 20 and Dec 22, with zilla panchayat polls for 50 constituencies scheduled on Dec 20.The prohibition will not apply to municipal areas, and in the jurisdiction of the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP). Counting of votes will be done on Dec 22. The bars and restaurants serving food can remain open, but by displaying a board that liquor will not be served during the ban. Also, transportation of alcohol on these three days in ZP constituencies is prohibited.
