Seminar on 'education for social change': Nirmala Institute of Education, Panaji, and Xavier Centre of Historical Research (XCHR), Porvorim, will organize a two-day national seminar on 'Education for social change' on January 18 and 19, from 9.30am to 5pm at XCHR.On January 18, at 10am, the keynote address at the inaugural session will be delivered by governor Bharat Vir Wanchoo. The valedictory address on January 19, at 4.15pm, will be delivered by the Goa University's vice chancellor Satish Shetye.
Exhibition of paintings by Gautam Benegal: Governor Bharat Vir Wanchoo will inaugurate an exhibition of paintings and graphics by Gautam Benegal, titled 'Continuum' (The enduring spaces of Bombay), at Carpe Diem, Art and Learning Centre, Majorda, on January 22 at 6.30pm. The exhibition will continue up to January 29.
