CSIR-NIO Director Receives Prestigious JC Bose Fellowship

PANAJI: In a remarkable achievement, Professor Sunil Kumar Singh, the director of Goa-based CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography (NIO), has been honoured with the esteemed JC Bose Fellowship by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB). This prestigious fellowship recognizes Singh's exceptional contributions to the realm of scientific expertise.

Prof. Singh's areas of specialization encompass Geochemistry and Isotope Chemistry, Palaeoclimate and Palaeoceanography, and Nutrient Cycling and Biogeochemistry. His scholarly endeavours have yielded over 75 published papers in both national and international journals, a testament to his profound impact on the scientific community.

Furthermore, Singh's dedication extends to nurturing the next generation of scientific minds. He has successfully guided 10 PhD students, with six presently under his mentorship, fostering a legacy of scientific excellence.
