Panaji: The additional sessions court at Merces has dismissed the anticipatory bail applications of seven persons allegedly involved in a case of forgery, preparation of a fake will, and impersonation.The seven allegedly cheated the legal heirs of Anant Kamat of Corjuem by facilitating monetary transactions after Kamat had died.The court dismissed the bail application of Suhasini Suhas Padwal, a retired teacher based in Sindhudurg, and a legal heir of Kamat, in whose favour the forged will was allegedly executed.The court also denied bail to Wadala-based advocate and notary Ramji Buddhu Gupta, who allegedly notarised the fake will.Moreover, the court dismissed the bail applications that were filed by Pradeep Kumar Pathak, Devidas Gopinath Panjikar, Vaman Shridhar Polle, Vishant Ramchandra Kamat, and Prakash Vaduseo Mahambre.Additional sessions judge Kshama Joshi held that considering the suspicious circumstances pointed out by the prosecution, a proper investigation was required. The complaint also cites impersonation, the judge said.
