Cong to call meet of oppn MLAs ahead of winter session

Panaji: Alleging failure on multiple counts, leader of opposition Yuri Alemao on Monday said the Congress Legislative Party will call a meeting of opposition MLAs next week to plan a united strategy to grill the BJP govt in the upcoming assembly session. CLP met on Monday to finalise issues to be raised in the House and also reviewed the ZP election results. Alemao said a systematic plan would be worked out to prevent division of votes in future.He said the BJP failed on all fronts and could not protect the image of the state. “People are dying in nightclubs, narcotics supply is rising, accident deaths continue and the environment is being destroyed. People are fed up with this govt. We will raise people’s voice in the assembly and hold it accountable,” he said.
