Complaint filed over Margao pay-parking

Margao: Goacan, a consumer network organisation, filed a complaint with

Kadamba Transport Corporation

Ltd (KTCL) on Tuesday with regards to overcharging and other violations by the pay parking contractor at its Margao bus stand.

KTCL had recently entered into a contract with a private party for collection of parking fees at the Margao bus stand, in which various conditions were stipulated.

In its complaint with the Margao depot manager, Girish Gaude, Goacan said that the contractor has started collecting parking fees at the KTC bus stand, Margao, without displaying a board at the parking area specifying various rates for pay parking, and that the pay parking attendant neither wears a uniform nor carries an identity card.
