Chief Minister reviews progress of road works

PANAJI

: Ahead of Union minister for road transport and highways Nitin Gadkari’s visit to Goa, chief minister Manohar Parrikar held a review meeting of all the central government-funded road works in Goa with PWD officials.

Parrikar directed officials from all departments to coordinate to remove electricity poles, water pipelines and cables to expedite road widening works and projects such as the new Zuari bridge, Canacona bypass, etc.

Parrikar

also sought cooperation from the department of land surveys to acquire land wherever required for the road works.
