“Stores carrying out home deliveries are segregated area-wise and has groceries, vegetables and milk suppliers besides pharmacies. The information would be updated at regular intervals so as to incorporate new and updated contacts for home delivery,” said Sambary. Citizens can access the app on www.goadelivery.glideapp.io/.
“It is really a commendable effort by Sohail and Parth, who were assisted in their efforts by engineer Devansh Cholera. The duo was also guided by ex-students Hrishikesh Bhandari, Sanket Marathe and Yashwant Rivankar. All of them are part of the Atal Tinkering Lab of Dr Hedgewar School,” said the school headmaster Vilas Satarkar.
The coronatracker developed at Hedgewar school’s Atal Tinkering Lab has more than 146k users and the number is growing. It provides real-time authentic, intuitive and simple to understand worldwide novel coronavirus statistics with Hyperlocalised Heatmap for India.
The web-app also informs how far the user is from the nearest confirmed case.
This tracker was launched on February 22 this year and was amongst the first few to be launched internationally. The coronatracker.in was developed at the lab by Shrey Keny, Niket Kamat Satoskar, Salil Naik, Nishat Tilve, Hrishikesh Bhandari and Sanket Marathe.
“The tracker and the team has made Goa proud, as it has been developed by an all-Goan student team. The corona tracker has been endorsed by NITI Aayog and Atal Innovation Mission,” said Satarkar.
Students of the Dr KB Hedgewar School have not stopped at that. Some are in the process of developing a 3D printed face shield for the use of the medical staff handling the coronavirus infected, Satarkar said.
“Once approved for medical use, the product will be manufactured using the 3D printers at Hedgewar Atal Tinkering Lab,” he said.
