Calangute to airport bus fare hiked to Rs 200

Panaji: Kadamba Transport Corporation’s (KTC) special bus to the Goa airport has resumed after a brief hiatus. The service is currently running from Calangute to Dabolim and the fare from pick-up point to airport has been increased to Rs 200 per head from earlier Rs 100.
“We have started online bookings of the airport bus service to enable users to avail this service according to their flight schedule,” KTC general manager, Sanjay Ghate told TOI.
KTC’s special airport bus enables commuters to travel from Panaji at a fare of Rs100 and from Calangute for Rs 150. Until last year two buses were operating; one from Panaji to Goa airport, the other from Calangute to Goa airport and vice-versa.
The buses were suspended due to the second wave of the pandemic and continued to stay suspended through the third wave.
The services resumed from the first week of March after Omicron cases started declining.
Currently there is only one bus operating on this route. The primary clientele of this service continues to be tourists visiting Goa.
The bus service begins at 5.30am with a departure from Calangute, and the return journey from the airport begins at 7am.
Bus departures are scheduled for 10am, 1.45pm, 3.30pm and 6.30pm from Calangute through the day. The last bus departs Calangute at 8.30pm.
