, stating that he was a “pampered boy” in BJP.
“Lobo was a pampered boy in BJP. He was pampered by former chief minister Manohar Parrikar and by chief minister
Pramod Sawant,” he said in a well-orchestrated statement. “People are circulating my photo with Lobo and stating that I will quit BJP. I will not quit the party. I am a BJP MLA and minister.”
Cabral said that Lobo had hurt BJP karyakartas in Calangute and they will make sure that he loses the Calangute seat. “If Lobo joins Congress, then BJP will win the seat 100%,” Cabral said.
The power minister said that he had supported Lobo in undertaking development works in Calangute.
“I want to tell Lobo that Bardez is a BJP bastion. Let us see what he can do in Bardez. We will get BJP leaders elected in Bardez,” he said.
Cabral said that Aldona MLA Glen Ticlo, Mapusa MLA Joshua D’Souza, BJP functionaries Rohan Khaunte, Jayesh Salgaonkar and Dayanand Mandrekar will work against Lobo in the days to come.
Pointing out that Lobo’s problems never end, Cabral said that whatever his former colleagues are saying that they are not satisfied in BJP is completely false.
