Body found in Cuncolim, cops suspect murder

MARGAO: Cuncolim police on Sunday recovered the body of an unidentified male in the age group of 32-35 years from Tokeband, Ambelim, lying on the banks of the river.
Police sources said that both the hands of the deceased were found tied, and a stone tied to his waist. The body was found in a partially decomposed condition, police said. Suspecting foul play, Cuncolim police booked an offence against unknown accused on charges of murder under Section 302 and for trying to destroy evidence under Section 201 of the Indian Penal Code.
Further investigations are under way.
