“I want to warn people that a fraudster like Shaikh has not spared a blind woman. The scam was exposed when Khan visited the Goa Housing Board with fabricated documents,” Sawant said. He warned that perpetrators are devising various schemes to deceive people.

"Govt and police will work diligently to ensure Khan gets the justice she deserves,” he added. He clarified that no govt officers were involved and Shaikh himself fabricated the documents.

“Investigation is under way and strict action will be taken against Shaikh,” he further said.

Following multiple complaints, police have arrested 35 individuals. The chief minister assured thorough investigations and justice for the victims.
