Bicholim youth dies in Tuem accident

Panaji: On Tuesday, Raj Pednekar, 25, a native of Bicholim, died in an accident at Tuem, Pernem. Pednekar, who was on a bike, died after being crushed under a four-wheeler driven by tourists, as per preliminary investigations. Police have detained the driver, Saurav Gudekar.

Pednekar was residing at Siolim and travelling to his uncle’s house in Tuem.

The four-wheeler stopped at a petrol pump to fill fuel, but seeing that it was shut, the driver allegedly decided to turn back onto the road. As the driver swerved his vehicle, he caught Pednekar unawares. The youth fell off his bike and was reportedly crushed.
