The Goa squad is undergoing intensive coaching under the watchful eyes of head coach Remy Colaco and assistant coach Savio Vaz.
"The last national championship, organised by us was the successful conduct of the Santosh Trophy in 2017 when we finished runnersup. This time, thanks to the Women's League, we have spotted some good players and hope that they will make it to the final with the support of the home crowd," said Gomes.
The Goa Pro League will kick off on September 17 while the Women’s League will commence on August 14.

Churchill Alemao
accused the GFA of replacing the trophy. Alemao has not blamed the current executive committee, who took the trophy out of the bank locker after 22 years, but the GFA image has taken a hit.The GFA has since then termed Alemao’s accusations as baseless and is now determined to send a strong message across with a public display of the trophy.

has been appointed head of the organising committee for the Junior National Football Championship for Girls 2018.A total of 25 teams will battle for the championship, which will be held from August 20-31 at Duler and artificial turf ground in Margao.
