Pramod Sawant on Tuesday said that the condition of Ayush minister
Shripad Naik is stable. Four surgeries - two on legs and two on hands - were performed on him last night, Sawant told media after his visit to Goa Medical College.
On Monday, Naik was brought to GMC after he met with an accident at
Ankola
in Karnataka.
Naik and the state minister of defence had gone to Karnataka on a personal trip and where Naik was accompanied by his wife Vijaya and a close aide Dr Deepak Ghume.
Naik’s wife Vijaya suffered head injuries and died while being brought to a private hospital in Ankola. Ghume died on the spot.
