PANAJI: The anti-narcotic cell (ANC) in a raid at Anjuna arrested Arjun Cho-dankar for alleged possession of 350 gms of charas worth Rs 1.7 lakh.
The raid was conducted near St Michael’s Church, Anjuna, where the resident of Pequeno Chivar, Anjuna, was arrested.
Police said that the accused was ANC’s scanner as he was previously arrested by the crime branch and was presently out on bail.
Surveillance was ma-intained over the accused over the past few days, and he was subsequently arrested on Wednesday after ANC laid a trap along with the contraband.
The raid was led by PSI Priyanka Garodi, HC Kamlesh Dessai, HC Pramod Kalangutkar PC Mandar Naik, and Sairaj Naik under the supervision of PI (ANC) Sajith Pillai. Further investigation is in progress with PSI Rohan Madgaonkar.
