Almost 100% results for CBSE schools
PANAJI: Most Goa-based schools recorded cent percent pass percentage at the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class X exam
Kendriya Vidyalaya, Bambolim, not only gave Goa its state
A total of 129 students appeared from Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1 for the CBSE Class X exams, all of whom passed, with Shreyashi Mukherjee emerging second highest scorer in Goa with 97.6%.
From Vidya Vikas Academy, Margao, 115 students appeared for the Class X exam and registered 100% pass percentage. The school, in fact, saw 33 students score above 90%, with 79 in all getting distinction. “Elisheba Gonsalves has topped the school scoring 97.4%. We are very proud of our students and the hardwork of our students and our teachers has paid off,” said Joble Bijoy, principal of Vidya Vikas Academy.
Principal of Navy Children’s School, Chicalim, Chhanda Bhattacharji, said that Shravani Waigaonkar, who was one of the two third highest scorers in Goa at the CBSE Class X exams, also scored 97.4%.
“Our school has once again excelled with 100% results. Ananya Sharma and Vaibhav Yadav secured second and third rank, respectively. The hardwork and dedication of the students, teachers, parents and management has been the driving force behind this heartwarming results. Of the 95 students that appeared, 37 scored 90% and above and 41 scored between 80% and 89.9%,” said Bhattacharji.
Kendriya Vidyalaya, Ponda, had 31 students appear for the exam, all of whom cleared it and Abhishek Chouskuse topped the school with 96.4%. “The results have been very good this year. It is the hardwork of both students and teachers that has reflected. The students have performed exceptionally well besides all cultural activities that they have been participating in,” said school head Sangeeta Sharma.
Sunshine Worldwide School of Old Goa also saw 100% result.
“A student (male) scored a 478/500 or 95.6%. We are believers of no ranking policy although it makes me happy that everyone has cleared the exam. Even the ones with inclusive needs have done quite well,” said school director Deepak Khaitan.
A total of 63 students appeared from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Valpoi, with 61 passing, giving the school 96.83% pass percentage. Sanchit Ashok Ghadi topped the school with 92%.
With cent percent results, The King’s School, Margao, saw 44 students secure above 90% and 111 of the 152 candidates get distinction. Topping the school with 96.8% are Hibah Saudagar and Prakriti Gupta.
