Aldona school students’ feud: Father assaults other child, grandfather


Panaji: The fight between two students at a govt-aided school at Aldona took an ugly turn on Monday when one of the student’s fathers allegedly assaulted the other student outside the school’s premises. Mapusa police registered a first information report (FIR) against the father.

Police said that the students had a fight in the school a few days back, and that was reported to the principal. A fight broke out between the students again on Monday.

This time one of the student’s fathers questioned the other student and his grandfather, who had come to pick him up. Police said, during the interaction, the father got angry and slapped the other student and his grandfather.

Police said that as the child was a minor, Mapusa police registered the case under the Goa Children Act, and the investigation is in progress.
