MARGAO: Monica Rebello, 59, and her daughter Antonette Rebello, 37, charged with murder in connection with the death of one John D'Silva, who succumbed to burn injuries at the GMC recently, were arrested by the Maina Curtorim police from their residence at St Jose de Areal on Tuesday. The duo was remanded to a five-day police custody by the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) on Wednesday.

It may be recalled that the deceased John D'Silva had sustained 80% burn injuries after the accused allegedly poured boiling water on him when he had gone to their house on April 17. He was rushed to the GMC and died on May 2 while undergoing treatment.
