Goa: 8 teams of flying squads for Canacona elections

CANACONA: The

Canacona

returning officer has formed eight teams for the February 14 elections to ensure free and fair elections in the constituency.

Three flying squads, an accounting team, an assistant expenditure observer, a video surveillance team, a video viewing team, a sector officer team, a static surveillance team (Polem check post) and static surveillance team (railway station) has been formed who will oversee election related activities, to ensure that the election code of conduct is not violated.

A flying squard led by officer Rajendra Sawant has been keeping a watch over the municipal area as well as Agonda, Gulem and Chapoli.

The second flying squad headed by Hemant Kumar Gavnekar monitors Poinguinim, Loliem, Polem and Galgibaga, while the third flying squad keeps vigil in areas of Bhatpal, Shristhal, Partagal, Amonem, Gaondongrim and Cotigao.
