PANAJI: For the first time, digital content creators will have the opportunity to register separately at the 55th International Film Festival of India (Iffi), recognizing their growing influence in the digital media space. This move reflects the increasing prominence of digital platforms in the entertainment industry.
Additionally, a new Certificate Course in Film Appreciation, in collaboration with the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), will be introduced for the media to help them understand cinema and coverage of the festival.
The announcement was made by Dhirendra Ojha, Principal Director General, Press Information Bureau (PIB), and Smita Vats Sharma, Director General, PIB West Zone, during a media interaction held on Friday ahead of the festival.
The 55th Iffi will take place in Goa from November 20 to 28.
