38-year-old held for knife attack at Nadora

Panaji: Colvale police on Saturday arrested Neeraj Hargapure, 38, after he allegedly assaulted a person with a knife at Nadora.

Sarvesh Santosh Bagkar, 34, lodged a complaint at Colvale police station stating that on Saturday afternoon, behind the Sangam Bar, Nadora, Hargapure abused him and assaulted him with a knife, injuring his nose and forearm. Police said that the incident did not occur inside the bar.

PI Vijay Rane Sardesai said that they swiftly arrested Hargapure as he attempted to flee. He said the motive behind the crime is still unclear.
