Panaji: Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) on Thursday promoted 20 officers of ten government departments.
The commission conducted ten departmental promotion committee meetings to consider promoting officials from various departments.
GPSC chairman Jose Manual Noronha said four officials were promoted to the position of chief medical officers in the directorate of health services, while nine officials were promoted to the position of executive engineers in the public works department.
One official was promoted to the position of deputy director of agriculture, while six officials were promoted to the position of assistant director of agriculture in the directorate of agriculture.
The probation period was lifted for officials in Goa Medical College, police department, labour department and Goa Gazetteer department.
All departmental promotion committees are chaired by Noronha and attended by the chief secretary and administrative secretary concerned. tnn
