PANAJI: The
old Mandovi bridge
will be shut for vehicular traffic from 6.30am to 7.30am on Saturday while the
new Mandovi bridge
will be closed from 7.30am to 8.30am, an order issued by the
North Goa district collector said.
The bridges are being shut for inspection and for recording of deck levels.
“During the closure of the new Mandovi bridge, light vehicular traffic shall be allowed on the old bridge (both ways) and heavy vehicular traffic shall be diverted through the Atal Setu. During the closure of the old bridge, vehicular traffic shall be allowed on the new bridge and
Atal Setu,” the order states.
The road will be open for vehicular flow as soon as work is completed.
