Two activists get secretary posts in Goa Congress

and Mahesh Mhambrey, who were associated with Progressive Front of Goa, have been appointed as secretaries of the state Congress unit with immediate effect, state Congress vice-president

, said on Wednesday.

Shirodkar and Mhambrey, who were earlier associated with BJP and the Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch (BBSM), had joined Congress in December. In 2011, BBSM had taken on Congress over its medium of instruction policy and had campaigned aggressively for BJP.
