17 films by master filmmakers will premiere this Iffi

) will feature a section ‘Master Frames’, where the most recent films by master filmmakers from across the globe will be screened. It will be the India premiere for nearly all the films to be screened under this section at the festival.

‘Master Frames’ will also host the world premiere of Turkish Master Semih Kaplanoglu’s film ‘Commitment’, which is the Oscar entry from Turkey this year. The film ‘Guest Of Honor’ by lifetime achievement award winner of Iffi 2017, Atom Egoyan, will also be screened as a part of the section.

Master Frames will comprise 17 films by various filmmakers of international repute. ‘About Endlessness’ by Roy Andersson, ‘Adults in the Room’ by Costa Gavras, ‘By The Grace Of God’ by Francois Ozon, ‘Daniel’ by Niels Arden Oplev are some of the films to be screened under Master Frames section. 2019 marks the 50th year of Iffi, which is often counted amongst one of the earliest film festivals of the Asian continent.

‘Devil Between The Legs’ by Arturo Ripstein, ‘Family Romance LLC’ by Werner Herzog, ‘Matthias & Maxime’ by Xavier Dolan too will be part of Master Frames.
