Ghaziabad: Two men were arrested for poisoning and killing two buffaloes in Sahibabad on Tuesday.
A police investigation revealed that after the buffaloes were killed, the accused anticipated that the owner would instruct them to dispose of the carcass, making it easy for them to sell it and earn some amount from it.
The accused, Istakhbal (37) is from Hapur in Uttar Pradesh and Chaand (30) is from Delhi.
“On Monday morning, Chandrapal Singh from Karhera village filed a complaint against two unknown individuals who had fed something to his buffaloes, resulting in their death,” stated ACP Rajneesh Upadhyay.

“CCTV footage revealed two individuals riding a scooty who had been seen in the area for the last couple of days,”Upadhyay added.
“During interrogation, the accused said that upon seeing Singh’s buffaloes, they devised a plan to kill the buffaloes and later when Singh would have asked them to dispose of the carcass, the two would sell it in Loni to earn money,” said Upadhyay.
