Man gives false info in murder bid case, held

Ghaziabad: A 40-year-old man was arrested on Sunday for allegedly providing false information in an attempt-to-murder case earlier this month, police said.The accused was identified as Sachin alias Satyapal, a resident of Loni who owns a dairy farm.According to ACP (Loni) Suryabali Maurya, Sachin’s brother Tushar Lal filed a police complaint on the evening of May 13 alleging that two men had attacked his brother and also fired at him. Lal had alleged that Sachin received a bullet injury in his leg and his treatment was underway at GTB hospital in Delhi.On the basis of the complaint, an FIR was lodged against two persons, identified as Rajat and Prashant, under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code in Loni police station. Investigation revealed that Rajat and Prashant had sold a buffalo to Sachin but he was interested in paying them both, the officer explained. Sachin then came up with a plan to frame the two in a fake case.
